I chose Sheldon Cooper and he got me Optimus Prime

February 24, 2011

Once upon a time at comicology.i.ph, they held a contest in which I entered with Sheldon Cooper.

After some grueling battles (voting actually) Sheldon Cooper stomps out all of the opponents that he came across. One by one he puts his Geniusness into use and work his way to the Finals to meet Optimus Prime his nemesis in this contest……

After 4 days of battling (again it’s actually voting) Sheldon crushed Optimus Prime and came out victorious with his 81% - 18% lead over Optimus Prime.

And because of Sheldon’s Victory,  I now have this 12″ Leader Class Optimus Prime figure…….YEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DONE: 1/144 MVF-M11C Murasame

Here’s another Gundam Kit…..

1/144 HG Murasame–The MVF-M11C Murasame is a transformable mobile suit designed by the Orb Union as a successor to their earlier Astray series, created some time after the Bloody Valentine War. During the Second Bloody Valentine War, a large number of these suits were used by Orb during many battles against different factions, during which they proved themself to be a powerful unit. Over time, several MS pilots painted their suits into personal colors, as had been done with other mobile weapon models in the past.

I got impressed with this kit that I’m thinking of customizing it to my style (uhmmm, more of make it orange than red hehehehe)

What’s great with this kit is that it can turn into gerwalk mode (below) like those in Macross (although you won’t see them used in the Animation)

I’ve been busy with GUNPLA eversince my girlfriend went to her province for vacation…..I’ve finished some gundam models already but I only Virtue’s and Murasame’s photos taken…Both this models we’re bought by my brother (he’s my financier hehehehe)..He buys the kit and I build the kit….Apparently he’s favorite gundam is Virtue, when we saw the 1/100 version he bought it at once. He asked me to take a picture of it, that’s why I have them now, hehehehe….

This post focuses on the completed Virtue….

GN-005 Gundam Virtue (aka Gundam Virtue, Virtue), is the heavy-artillery Gundam in season 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The unit is piloted by Tieria Erde

Inside this Gundam is another Gundam called Gundam Nadleeh (I haven’t taken photos of it yet that’s why no pics for now)

WISHLIST: MG GUNDAM DEATHSYCHTE HELL Custom

February 8, 2011

GUNDAM the DARK KNIGHT….

This was the first Gundam that I was fond of……even before the arrival of Arios, Kyrios and Harute.

When I was young I used to have this kit, but because I was young then, I wasn’t able to take care of it.

This February, an MG Gundam Deathscythe Hell will be released, and I’m making sure to get hold of this one…..This would be my first MG kit…

So hurry up Deathscythe, wash up to our Philippine shore now……

Gundam Gradings…..

February 2, 2011

For those who are into GUNPLAs……..Maybe you’re like me who is ignorant to it’s grading system. I’ve been asking around and searching online what this grading systems mean to now avail :( But a while ago I’ve chanced upon this site and voila! grading system mystery finally answered.
Here is the reference to the system……(for me and as well as you my fellow gunpla builders)

Perfect Grade(PG) - 1/60 - the most details and have alot of parts. most of the time the eyes part can glow and usually come in a big box
Master Grade (MG)
- 1/100 - the most popular grade among others. second most details kits than perfect grade. has a inner frame and also outside armour.
Normal/Non Grade (NG) - 1/100, 1/60(Big Scale NG) - MG scale with no inner frame and also of course less details than MGs
High Grade(HG) - 1/144 - NG level with smaller scale.
First Grade(FG) - 1/144 - The most less details grade among all…usually been mold in just 2 or 3 basic colors. and the manual usually printed on the box
Speed Grade(SG) - 1/200 - Painted kit straight on the runner…just cut the piece out and assemble…minor lining needed to look more nicer
Super Deform(SD) - err…short gundam with big head??
Gundam Fix Figuration(GFF) - 1/144, 1/100(most of them are from Metal Series) - Painted gundams model(usually a very nice paint job)…or also can be consider as a action figure…take out from the box and straight display
SHCM Pro/HCM Pro - 1/200, 1/144 - same as GFF version but smaller and lesser details and paint job

I also just got my 1/48 Gundam Unicorn a while ago and I can’t wait to assemble soon….
